Gene Barretta is an award-winning local children's book author/illustrator, character designer, and animator. He will be visiting WES students in 3rd-5th grade to share his book Now & Ben: The Modern Inventions of Benjamin Franklin - along with a surprise appearance by Benjamin Franklin himself! (Please help us keep that part a secret!)
He has received the Carolyn Field Award (Now & Ben) and the Cook Prize (Timeless Thomas).

Signed copies of Now & Ben are available to order until February 19th
Purchased books will be signed by the author and can be personalized - so please be sure to fill out the student name, grade, and teacher fields. Books will be sent home in your child's backpack. We have partnered with Children's Book World to fulfill book orders and 20% from our sales will go the WES PTO!
