Visiting and Volunteering

​

All visitors must ring the doorbell at the front door to enter the building. Once in the building, visitors must report to the office immediately to sign in and get a visitors' badge.

​

Wallingford-Swarthmore School District requires background clearances to volunteer with our students or in the school building.

After School Pickup:

Important Reminders:

• Please do not park in the front or back bus loop of the school between 3:10-3:50 pm as this area is utilized to transport students home, including stationing school buses there each day. 

• Please refrain from bringing dogs with you when dropping off and picking up children. 

• If you have a change in dismissal, please send in a note with your child in the morning and/or submit through PowerSchool. If you have a change after 3pm, please call the front office rather than submitting through PowerSchool. 

• Kershaw Road has parking on one side only. This is important for buses turning out of the back lot to transport children home.

 

Dismissal Changes for this year: 

• If you wish to pick up your child, please park your car and walk up to wait at the Parent Pick-up Door, located at the Kershaw Road side of the building at the Gym. Please line up and wait for your child to be dismissed. A team of teachers will be at the door supervising the release of children to their parents/caregivers.

• Walkers - Independent walkers will be dismissed from the Library Walker Door. Crossing guards are located directly in front of the building, at the intersection of Possum Hollow and Providence Road, and at the intersection of Brookhaven Road and Kershaw Road.  

• Buses will be in both the front and back of the school during dismissal. Please be mindful of this if you are driving and parking to pick up your child.
