Language Teachers
French - Olivia Sabee
Bonjour! Come and learn French with WES 4th grade parent Olivia Sabee!
I just moved back to Wallingford from Le Pecq, France in June and am excited to take over the co-curricular French class this fall. I have a PhD in French from Johns Hopkins and teach in the Dance Department at Swarthmore College, but I also have 10 years of experience teaching dance to elementary-aged kids and 5 years of experience teaching French, mostly to college-aged students but also to young learners (including my two bilingual kids). In French class at WES — an immersive experience open to both beginners and learners with prior French knowledge — we will sing, play games, read books, and move our bodies.
Mandarin - Yue Zhou
Nǐ hǎo, everyone! I am Yue Zhou, I am excited to be your Mandarin club teacher this year! I have shared a love for the Chinese language and culture for over ten years at WES. There will be much fun to be had. Get ready to play games, listen to stories, and discover a whole new world together. I can't wait to meet you all!
Spanish - Luz Marina
German - TBD
