WES PTO Thanksgiving Food Drive
As part of Wallingford Elementary School’s ongoing citizenship project, the WES PTO is collecting non-perishable food items to help provide holiday meals for families in need. We will be working with City Team – Chester and the Media Food Bank. Your donations will help to offer much needed support to local families this holiday season.
When: Collection will run Thursday, November 10th - Friday, November 18th.
Where: Collection bins are located inside the front lobby of WES.
If each family could contribute at least one item to our food drive, the WES community can help make an impact for many families in need. Please support our effort by donating according to the following list of suggested non-perishable items as shown by grade level: (No glass containers, please)
Kindergarten: Powdered drink mixes: Iced Tea, Lemonade, etc.

Mrs. Gaur's Milk & Cookie Stand
Mrs. Gaur's annual Milk & Cookie fundraiser will be taking place on November 16th, 17th, 18th. All proceeds will go to the people of Pakistan to help those affected by the devastating floods. The cost for the milk and cookie per day is $1.
We need help from our families to bake 2-3 dozen homemade chocolate chip cookies. Please deliver the cookies in a labeled container with your child’s name and teacher to the Main Office or Room 127 by Tuesday, Nov. 15th.
Please email Mrs. Gaur if you have any questions. Thanks for all your support!
Hour of Code - December 5th-9th
The Hour of Code is coming to WES on December 5th – 9th. Please consider volunteering for an hour to help with this exciting event. No programming experience is necessary. You can sign up here to volunteer. We will need two volunteers for each classroom who will help facilitate Hour of Code activities. Tutorials of what to do and what to expect will be provided. If you have any questions, please contact Beth Benzing, Nicole Hanley or Bobby Griffin. Thank you!
Sustainability Re-Prize Drive
From November 28th through December 9th, the WES PTO Sustainability Committee will be collecting like-new and gently used small toys and trinkets. These items will be given new life in our May Day prize booth, helping reduce the amount of new consumption needed to host the event–while helping you declutter at the same time! Please see the attached information sheet here for full donation guidelines before contributing. Questions? Please reach out to Erin Stancill, Arianne Allan or Amanda Hemmer.
